SDI Wreck Diver

From $599

Whether intentionally sunk as artificial reefs or the result of mishaps, wrecked ships, airplanes, and even automobiles are irresistible to most divers, as they open fascinating windows to the past and are usually teeming with aquatic life. The allure of wrecks represents one of diving's great odysseys, providing the opportunity to venture where few people have been and to behold the ships and objects that have gracefully slipped into the mysterious underwater realm.

However, wreck diving is considered a more advanced form of diving, requiring a higher level of training and experience.  The SDI Wreck Diver course will guide you through the respectful and secure exploration of submerged time capsules. Led by expert instructors, you’ll learn subjects such as wreck diving techniques, researching and mapping wrecks, dive planning and management, and emergency procedures, allowing you to safely uncover the rich history and unique ecosystems surrounding these submerged treasures.

The Wreck course offers two options:

  • Non-penetration, requiring 2 dives.

  • Limited-penetration, requiring 3 dives. This option includes swim-throughs or dives within the ambient light of the entry point.
