If you’ve completed SDI Open Water, the next step for you is to decide where you want your diving to take you. This course offers a great opportunity to explore different specialties.

Of the 5 specialties, 2 of the courses are required: Deep and Navigation. The remaining 3 specialties you can choose from:

  • Advanced Buoyancy Control

  • Boat

  • Computer Nitrox

  • Drift

  • Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV)

  • Dry Suit

  • Wreck

This course is intended to introduce you to each of the chosen specialties, not complete courses of the chosen specialties. You’ll get to preview various specialty courses before committing to a specific one. One dive from each of the chosen specialties may apply towards the completion of a specialty certification.

Solo

The solo package offers one-on-one with our instructor. Choose the schedule and specific specialty dives, and we'll ensure a customised and flexible learning experience that suits your individual preferences and needs.

Duo

This package is great for buddies and couples looking to do the course together, or solo students eager to connect with a future dive buddy. We will work with you and your fellow student diver to tailor this course for the both of you.

Group

This package offers a social experience for solo students looking to make some future dive friends, or for a family or group of friends wanting to learn together. This package requires a minimum of 3 students to run, with a maximum of 4.

    • Minimum age 18 or 10 with parental consent.

    • SDI Open Water Scuba Diver, or SDI Junior Open Water Scuba Diver, or equivalent.

    • SDI eLearning materials.

    • Theory review and equipment configuration.

    • 5 open water dives - a Deep dive, a Navigation dive, and the 3 other specialty dives that you have selected. They’ll be a mix of shore and boat dives over 2-3 days (boat fees are not included).

    • Boat fees.

    • Equipment hires.

    • Gas fill.

    • Divers who are under 15 may earn a Junior Diver certification. After certification, they must dive with an adult certified diver and are limited to a maximum depth of 21m.

    • Junior divers can only take specialties approved for their age.

    • Deep: maximum depth for divers 10-15 years old is 21 metres.

    • Dry Suit: minimum age 12.

    • Wreck: minimum age 15.
