TDI CCR (Closed Circuit Rebreather) Helitrox Decompression Procedures

This is the second level certification course for CCR diver and an alternative to the TDI Decompression Procedures for anyone diving beyond 30m who would prefer to use a Helium based breathing mixture rather than Air or Nitrox. You’ll learn to conduct a staged decompression dive to a maximum depth of 45 metres.

  • OPTION 1

    • Minimum age 18.

    • Provide proof of 50 logged dives. If completing a unit crossover, provide proof of 10 logged CCR dives in the last 12 months.

    • Minimum certification level of TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver, Deco Procedures Diver or Helitrox diver or equivalent from agencies recognized by TDI.

    • Provide proof of at least 5 logged staged decompression dives to a minimum depth of 30 metres/100 feet.

    • If the rebreather is a TDI approved Sidemount rebreather, the student must hold the TDI Sidemount Diver certification or equivalent, provide proof of 10 logged Sidemount dives, and any additional requirements the Sidemount rebreather manufacturer may have.


    OPTION 2

    • Minimum age 18.

    • TDI Air Diluent CCR Diver certified or equivalent.

    • Minimum of 30 hours and 30 dives on the specific CCR unit.

    • 6 months CCR diving experience.

    • TDI eLearning materials.

    • Theory review and equipment configuration.

    • Pool dives - minimum 60 minutes.

    • Minimum of 7 open water dives, which will be conducted over 3-4 days.

    • Boat fees.

    • Equipment hires.

    • Gas fill.
